In challenge 2, Brainstorm, all teams were asked to create a viral marketing campaign to promote Cairns and Tropical North Queensland. Teams were given one hour and allowed no editing – with clips to be no longer than 60 seconds.
With most of our FDC team with a project management background in construction rather than creative flair, this proved to be an interesting challenge for them to tackle! However, with clear leadership and the help from some locals, FDC managed to piece together the task at hand, work under pressure, and come up with a 60 second clip promoting Cairns.
Up against some marketing savvy companies including The Works, FDC came out mid field in this competition but happy with the product they produced.
The next challenge is ‘Office Ironman’ which will screen on Saturday December 24 on ONE at 11am.
Based on the Cairns Foreshore Lagoon, it’s time for the contestants to get wet. Teams are required to compete in a race with six different disciplines, with the final leg requiring half the team to pull the other half to the finish line. This challenge shows a fascinating difference between teams who focus on strength and power versus those who are strategic.
