PACNET is Asia’s leading independent, next-generation telecommunications and internet service provider.
PACNET selected FDC for the delivery of their new Sydney based tier three Data Centre located in Sydney’s CBD.
On engagement FDC were presented with the task of identifying and demolishing redundant base building plant rooms, riser and services infrastructure to make way for PACNET’s new air cooled chillers, exhaust fans, chiller water pumps and chilled water pipe work to feed three 1450sqm floor plates of data centre. The delicate task of removal and installation of services and equipment midway up the high rise building was achieved using a temporary crane and loading platform situated on the building’s balcony for a period of three months, thus eliminating tenant disruption.
The data centre incorporates dual feed power, generator back-up, new access floor data hall cooled by Emerson CRAC units, switchboard rooms, UPS cabinet, UPS battery cubicles, network operation center, staging room, lobby, security office, kitchenette and amenities as part of stage one for PACNET’s data centre infrastructure.
FDC Fitout, FDC Technologies and FDC Mechanical Services were all involved from project conception through to handover providing PACNET with a “one stop shop” delivery service. |
