For this confidential project, the Client (a national $6 billion operation) engaged FDC to Design and Construct a purpose builtfacility to relocate their operation into a new centre that addressed recent developments in both technology and security.

A ground-up construction (and integrated fitout) this Data and Control Centre and support facility for a member of the CriticalNational Infrastructure Group, is unique in several ways. With feasibility and buildability input from FDC, the site had to beavailable to diverse power and telecommunication sources.

Key features of this project included resistance to security & terrorism threats (perimeter rock wall & ram proof gates, electric fence, integrated surveillance), blast resistance (blast proof doors, sacrificial outer shells) and 4 Star Energy Ratings where possible (solarglass and screening, insulation system, environmentally friendly mechanical services design).
