Environmental Policy

FDC has a commitment to procure products and services in a manner that consistently meets or exceeds all parties’ environmental expectations, by:

  • Complying with established client specifications.
  • Complying with all relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Achieving continual improvement in environmental practices and procedures.
  • Preventing pollution via activities over which FDC has control; i.e. reducing, re-using, recycling and disposing of waste to minimise or eliminate environmental impact.
  • Encouraging the specification of products that have been designed with minimum impact on the environment.
  • Striving for efficient consumption of energy at all locations and at all times.
  • Developing and maintaining plans to minimise the risk of environmental accidents.
  • Training employees to incorporate environmental policies into their daily work lives.
  • Take an active role in industry groups to promote ESO principles.

FDC is also a member of the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA), a national, not-for-profit, property industry initiative whose mission is to drive the transition of the Australian property industry towards sustainability by promoting green building design, construction and operations.
