Environmental Policy
FDC has a commitment to procure products and services in a manner that consistently meets or exceeds all parties’ environmental expectations, by:
- Complying with established client specifications.
- Complying with all relevant legislation and regulations.
- Achieving continual improvement in environmental practices and procedures.
- Preventing pollution via activities over which FDC has control; i.e. reducing, re-using, recycling and disposing of waste to minimise or eliminate environmental impact.
- Encouraging the specification of products that have been designed with minimum impact on the environment.
- Striving for efficient consumption of energy at all locations and at all times.
- Developing and maintaining plans to minimise the risk of environmental accidents.
- Training employees to incorporate environmental policies into their daily work lives.
- Take an active role in industry groups to promote ESO principles.
FDC is also a member of the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA), a national, not-for-profit, property industry initiative whose mission is to drive the transition of the Australian property industry towards sustainability by promoting green building design, construction and operations.
