Project Description

The Australian International Disputes Centre (AIDC) is Australia’s premier dispute resolution venue, having been established in 2010 with the assistance of the Australian Government and the State Government of New South Wales.

FDC were contracted to strip out and refurbish the existing AIDC offices on L16, 1 Castlereagh St, Sydney for the Attorney Generals Department. The design required the complete demolition of the existing fittings and fixtures whilst keeping the existing grid tiled ceiling. The base building services were to remain untouched with FDC connecting into the existing services. The new layout included a new reception, three new offices, refurbishment of three existing meeting rooms, two new hearing chambers and associated administration workstation and store rooms.
FDC Technologies carried out the data and electrical works whilst the client’s own contractor carried out the audio visual works. Most work was carried out during the building down times and through the night so as to not disturb the existing building tenants.

The four week project programme, though tight, was met by our site team with a zero defect policy in place.
