AMP is an iconic Australian institution offering asset protection and wealth creation. At approximately 30,000sqm, we believe this to be Sydney’s largest building upgrade with integrated (client specific) fitout. The Circular Quay building, touted as Sydney’s first skyscraper, is now AMP’s National Office, housing over 2 000 staff.

The site was in occupation at all times, requiring highly detailed planning, precision delivery of each phase, sensitive services cut-overs and tenant management. The project includes innovation in heritage engineering, energy efficiency, recyclability, alternative workplace designs, space efficiencies, security and flexibility.

The scale of the fitout offers some interesting statistics, such as 860,000sqm of plasterboard, 4 500 litres of paint, 33 tonnes of carpet, 7,000 light fittings, 800,000 metres of Cat 6 UTP cable, 5,000 metres of fibre cable and 8,500 Cat 6 RJ 45 outlets.

Every level has a dedicated “Alternative Workplace Environment” where work, recreation, meetings and technology link together. The building also has customised Executive Meeting and Conferencing facilities, with special acoustically engineered solutions and fingertip control audiovisual services.
