The Satellite Renal Dialysis Unit is located on Level 1 of the Eastern Wing of Mona Vale Hospital on Sydney’s northern beaches.
The facility offers treatment for patients with chronic kidney disease, providing six dialysis units, and is operational six days per week. It is also an ideal environment to carry out patient and carer education, and where possible, promote independent self care.
The fitout involved co-ordination of common services (electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, fire, security) together with medically required services, ie medical gas, and most importantly Reverse Osmosis – a system required to purify water supply used for treatment of patients. These services are housed within joinery units specifically design for purpose, and a standard of finishes throughout the unit to satisfy the hospital’s stringent hygiene and safety standards
- Integration of medical services with building services
- Specifically designed joinery units to house service
- Works undertaken to stringent hygiene and safety standards
