When you join FDC as a cadet, you’ll learn from some of the most accomplished members of the building industry – and work on projects that make a real difference in Australian communities.
It’s building, made personal
At FDC, people and relationships come first – and we believe personal touches go a long way. We’re not just about delivering high quality projects, but also doing it in our own way. Today we have more than 550 team members around Australia that live our culture every day.
With over 30 years’ experience in the industry, we are experts in construction, fitout, refurbishment and building services. And with a strong focus on people and culture, we offer a cadetship experience few can match.
Your cadetship, made personal
Every cadet is different – and so is every FDC cadetship.
Here’s what makes our program different:
During your FDC cadetship, you will also combine your university learning with time in the field. Designed for students in the final years of their degree, our program lets you put your studies into practice on projects that matter. Covering a wide range of industry aspects and building stages, you’ll experience it all.
Our cadetship is suitable for careers in:
Who is the cadetship for?
Our cadet program is open to people currently studying:
While the program is designed for students in the final years of their degree, you can still apply if you have just started your tertiary studies.
Simply complete the application form at the bottom of this page, making sure you select the state and division you are applying for. Don’t forget to attach your CV and a cover letter that outlines why you would be an ideal cadet at FDC.
If we think you’d be a good fit based on your application, we’ll be in touch. We’ll set up a time for a chat with someone from our senior leadership team so we can hear about you and your career goals.
If our chat goes well, we’ll offer you a cadetship . At this stage you will receive an employment contract with your start date, and a team handbook.
On day one, you’ll either be starting with other cadets or matched with a buddy to ensure you have someone with you as you navigate this exciting, new chapter.
