Jessica Vasiliou

Jessica Vasiliou
Project Manager, VIC
“I started working with FDC as a Cadet in January 2022. Within six months of working closely with the Victorian team on some highlight projects, I progressed to a Contracts Administrator role.
Whether I’m going out to tender, meeting with clients or going on site, I love that no day in this job is ever the same. There’s also plenty of problem solving and learning from site managers, too.
One of my highlights has been working on the Circular Plastics Recycling Facility project. There’s a deep sense of satisfaction in seeing a job evolve from an empty site to a completed building.
I feel lucky to work for a company that is so supportive. From the moment I started at FDC, they helped me to gain the knowledge and independence to get to the next level. It’s a terrific environment. Everyone who works here is kind and respectful and I’ve learnt so much along the way.”
Adrian Pace
Project Manager

Adrian Pace
Project Manager, SA
“In the five years I’ve worked at FDC the one thing that has always stood out is the excellent values and culture within the business. I’ve had a lot of mentoring along the way, and it’s been a very positive experience getting to work with different project managers – everyone has their own style of doing business. It’s led me to learn different ways of doing the same job: more efficient and more productive ways, and that has enhanced how I work towards achieving the best outcome for everyone involved.
I’m proud to have delivered some big projects for FDC, including the Plaza Premium Lounge fitout at Adelaide Airport, alongside a few other fitout within the airport including Coopers Alehouse, The Pantry and SOHO Bar. There’s a sense that you’re making an impact in society when creating spaces people utilise every day, especially when they get a lot of positive attention.”

Emma Thomy
Project Director, NSW
“I joined FDC as a Contracts Administrator 15 years ago, after deciding that my previous career in interior design wasn’t for me. Construction just felt right, and I enjoyed being involved in the detail. I was lucky to have supportive management since day one, and to be put on some incredible jobs early on in my career that gave me the opportunity to get to where I am now.
That first job was a huge two-year project for Qantas which involved refurbing four buildings, undertaking strengthening works and joining the building with a massive atrium. It was one of the first huge-scale designer construction, fitout and refurb jobs FDC delivered, and it was the beginning of my career trajectory. Over the years, I progressed from a Project Coordinator role to Project Manager and Senior Project Manager, before stepping into my current role as Project Director.
If you’ve got a passion, pursue it. You know what you’re capable of. You know what you can do. And don’t let anybody tell you that you can’t.”
We’re always on the lookout for talented and passionate individuals to join our team. If you think you might have what it takes, please view our current opportunities or introduce yourself for future opportunities.
