Today, our growing fitout portfolio features boutique to large-scale projects across Australia and includes corporate workspaces, hi-tech, education, science, health, science, biotech, hospitality, retail and specialised use sites.
The depth and versatility of our fitout team – combining specialist knowledge in design, workplace, trade and engineering – allows us to deliver highly tailored solutions, every time.
Every refurbishment is unique, some projects are largely external or structural, while others are more internal or cosmetic. That’s why our Refurbishment teams typically bring together specialist resources from both our Construction and Fitout divisions.
We work closely with our clients to understand the full scope and expectations for their project, and then use this to determine the ideal team to make it happen.
FDCnow is a boutique division for fast-track commercial fitout and refurbishment projects. Structured to be nimble, responsive and affordable, it’s an all-inclusive turnkey (design and construct) solution that uses the procurement power and in-house engineering services of the larger FDC Group, to deliver fitout and renovation projects up to 1,000sqm.
The FDCnow service features all aspects of project coordination including client interface, design management, cost reporting, statutory approvals and construction management. Mechanical and technology-based construction projects bring their own unique requirements and challenges. Fast moving and often logistically complex, it’s a sector we’ve specialised in for almost 30 years. In fact, in the early days of FDC, technology, mechanical and electrical projects were what we were best known for. Today, we enjoy industry-leading levels of repeat business and it’s seen us become a national leader in data communications and electrical installation projects.
One of the major benefits of the FDC approach is the way our building services team is able to work seamlessly with other parts of our business to provide a services delivery solution to ensure all aspects of HVAC, lighting, power and communications can be tailored to the exact requirements of every project.
We believe we have a responsibility to lead by example. This means doing what’s right. Not just what’s easiest. Sustainability is an important part of this commitment. We actively encourage sound environmental practices right across the FDC business. From the way we manage our on-site and in-office operations, to our use of office consumables, energy, water and fossil fuels, we’re committed to reducing our impacts on the environment wherever we can.
Our own offices reflect our endeavour to promote sustainable workplaces. As just one example our Sydney HQ, once a historic warehouse space, has been transformed into contemporary offices, with a host of environmental initiatives positively influencing services and energy consumption, plus a sensitive selection of products and finishes.
Whether a construction, refurbishment or fitout project, we ensure we exceed the sustainability agenda of our partner client. We work with the project team to develop the design intelligently, seek innovations, source the latest technologies and determine the best way to build, which helps to find that sustainable balance.
As part of our fully Integrated Management System, our Environmental Management System is certified to ISO 14001:2015. We are also members of the Green Building Council (GBCA), with a continuing commitment to Green Star Professional training for all key project staff.
