The City of Parramatta Council (CoPC) has acquired the asset at 9 Wentworth Street, Parramatta for the purpose of creating a new workplace for its staff with focus on best practice in workplace design that aimed to encourage increased collaboration, flexible work settings, streamlined work practices and increased connectivity through improvement of the physical space it occupies.

The original building (Levels 1-4) was previously occupied by the Department of Home Affairs (DOHA) who upon relocation to another building in Parramatta opened this space for a large-scale refurbishment to facilitate a re-occupation of this asset.

Works completed included the full strip out & fitout across Levels 1-4 that included new open workspaces, social hubs, parents/wellness rooms, comms rooms, focus/quiet spaces. In addition to the fitout design for the future workspace and to upgrade the buildign services due to end of life to ensure compliance with the NCC and provide general compliance with the services provisions outlined with the Property Council of Australia (PCA) Guidelines for an A Grade Building (Existing). As a part of the integrated base build upgrade, this included amenities refurbishment, lobby upgrade, new end of trip (EOT), NABERS water & Energy targets including solar panel & blackwater treatment plan, upgrades to comply to fire safety order (FSO), new main switchboard, passenger lift upgrades,  ICN and full mechanical upgrade including but not limited to cooling towers, AHUs etc which also resulted in significant façade modifications to the western courtyard.

This project also included works at the Rydalmere Operations Centre (ROC) which includes fitout / refurbishment works of the existing two floor office as well as minor civil / carpark upgrade works.
