FDC have completed the fitout of The University of Sydney’s Autopsy Room in the Evelyn Williams Building, Camperdown Campus, Sydney.

Founded in 1850, The University of Sydney is a leading Australian public research university consistently ranked among the world’s top universities with acclaimed science and medicine facilities and teaching programs.

After the initial demolition of existing partitions, services, and finishes, the new space was upgraded to reflect the infrastructure and respective facilities suitable for microbiological containment to suit the nature of works conducted.

Male and female changing rooms flow into transition rooms prior to the post-mortem room; this space along with controlled procedures ensures proper disinfection of contaminants. New services included hydraulic works and the installation of an air handling unit to condition the space with contaminant-free air.

FDC delivered this project in conjunction with Norman Disney & YoungCustance and Graphite Projects.
