FDC have recently delivered a 5,000sqm fitout of the O & K Building, Western Sydney University, Kingswood Campus (NSW).
Founded in 1989, Western Sydney University, formerly the University of Western Sydney, is an multi-campus university in the Greater Western region of Sydney. It is a provider of undergraduate, postgraduate and higher research degrees with campuses in Bankstown, Blacktown, Campbelltown, Hawkesbury, Parramatta, and Penrith.
The scope of work included the refurbishment and re-purposing of Building O & K in order to create central hub for students and staff. This involved the refurbishment of;
- The Ground Floor (Building O) – The Psychology Clinic & MARCS baby Lab, Learning and Teaching Unit,
- Level 1 (Building O) – collaborative learning spaces, learning commons, flat floor lecture theatre / multi-function room, Vice Chancellor’s Hot Office & bookshop and
- Level 2 (Building O & K) – food court, cafes & student lounges
The project was delivered in 7 months in conjunction with BKA Architects, Jones Nicholson & Fire Engineering and FDC’s Mechanical Services division.
