FDC have completed numerous fitout and refurbishment projects at Westmead Hospital, in NSW. The third milestone was the new gastroenterology ward, which was part of the Westmead Redevelopment – a NSW Government project valued at over $1 billion.

The project included completely demolishing the existing ward and constructing a new inpatient unit for gastroenterology and hepatology. New medical services in this refurbishment included medical gases, essential power and nurse call systems. It also houses an isolation room (a negative pressure room for immunocompromised and infectious patients).

FDC delivered this refurbishment in conjunction with Team 2 ArchitectsHealth InfrastructurePwC and Northrop.
