It’s Giving, Made Personal™

We’ve grown a lot over the years. But we’ve never forgotten what matters most to us.

It’s people.

The people that have got us to where we are and those that will take us further. We’re committed to leaving a legacy we can all be proud of. From fundraising events to sponsorships to our ongoing work with local communities, we’re working hard to build a better future.

Featured and Recent Causes

Each year FDC gives back to charities and causes that are personal to our people, clients and community.

Since 1985, Make-A-Wish has been working hard in communities across Australia to grant inspirational, life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Wishes provide the opportunity to live life to the fullest, even during illness and treatment. Families consistently share that the experience brings powerful emotional benefits. Wishes spark joy and positive feelings, creating treasured memories that last a lifetime.

FDC’s 19th annual Melbourne Cup Luncheon in November 2025 raised a record-breaking $650,000 for our charitable partner, Make-A-Wish Australia. Watch the remarkable story of Hugo, a 12-year-old from Queensland living with PANS – a rare condition that causes sudden and severe neuropsychiatric symptoms – and how his wish was made possible through the generosity of our sponsors, prize givers, bidders, donors, table hosts and volunteers.

Our 2025 Ride to Give charity ride saw 62 riders cycle from Dubbo to Leeton, raising a record-breaking total for Boys to the Bush, BackTrack Youth Works, and local community causes along the way.

Both charities are focused on supporting, as well as providing, preventative and early intervention strategies for young at-risk Aussies living in regional and rural areas.

    Funds donated will:

    • Support 35 boys through a year of MENtoring.
    • Provide emergency crisis aid and safe transport.
    • Fund 35 months of safe housing and tailored education for youth in need.

The Annual Subcontractor Golf Day in Queensland brought our people together to celebrate shared achievements, strengthen connections, and support an important cause.

The event successfully raised $30,000 for Great Dreams, a Brisbane charity that provides scholarships for children aged 10-18 from financially disadvantaged backgrounds, pairing them with mentors in their chosen fields.

The funds raised will directly support the program’s 2025 intake, enabling at least three additional children to benefit from this life-changing initiative.

Bowel Cancer is the deadliest cancer for people aged 25-44. With cases on the rise year-on-year, our partnership with Bowel Cancer Australia will support the transformation of research and knowledge into accessible programs and services for patients.

FDC’s 18th annual Melbourne Cup Luncheon in November, 2024, has proudly raised $450,000 for Bowel Cancer Australia. The sum raised will contribute to Bowel Cancer Australia’s key initiatives:

    1. Australian-first GP Education Modules: research shows younger patients may wait anywhere from 3 months to 5 years for a diagnosis, often due to the misconception of bowel cancer being an “old person’s disease.” These resources will enhance awareness of symptoms, improve understanding of early-onset bowel cancer, and promote timely referrals for better patient outcomes.

    2. Early-Onset Bowel Cancer Research: FDC will be funding the second year of a new research project focused on early-onset bowel cancer research. We know that 99% of bowel cancer are treatable if they are detected early.

    3. Specialist Bowel Cancer Nurses: the funding of devoted Specialist Bowel Care Nurse support in regional areas providing more patients with the care they deserve, as close to home as possible.

These initiatives reflect our commitment to making a lasting impact in the fight against bowel cancer. Together, we are helping pave the way for earlier diagnosis, better treatment options, and greater support for patients, especially in regional areas.

Thank you to all who joined us in honouring this cause and making a difference in the lives of those affected.

Committed to giving brain cancer patients access to treatments that offer the best chance for survival, the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation is leading the way in supporting initiatives that cover the entire research journey.

In October 2024, FDC hosted the inaugural FDC Invitational Golf Day at the prestigious Yarra Yarra Golf Club, in Melbourne. With the help of subcontractors, consultants and volunteers, the event included 18 holes of golf, with fundraising activities on various holes, followed by a dinner and auction.

We are please to have raised a total of $82,670. The money raised will go towards and Preclinical & Clinical Acceleration Programs. These programs aim to determine more effective and accurate methods of evaluating potential treatments early and accelerate these discoveries into clinical trials, to provide patients access to potential treatments with the highest likelihood of increasing survival.

Each year we ride for 3 days through regional Australia raising money for a grassroots regional charity. It is part of our annual charity bike ride, Ride to Give.

In June 2024 Ride to Give riders raised an incredible $415,555 for our giving partner – Boys to the Bush (BttB). Covering 485km from Young to Canberra, we were able to donate an additional $30,000 to regional communities along the route.

Focusing on prevention and early intervention strategies, BttB supports some of our communities’ most vulnerable boys in becoming good men in the future. Funds raised will fund a new depot in Forbes, a new boat in Young, and a minibus for travel in Echucha. Additional funds will be invested into camp fees for over 40 kids who otherwise would’ve been unable to afford it.

A sincere thank you to the connections and communities we met along the way including teachers, kids and parents at Crookwell and Gundaroo Public Schools; the Rapid Relief teams in Young and Goulburn; Wiradjuri Country Elders, Marnie Freeman and Stewart James Freeman; Young Preschool; the Young Girl Guides; Harden CWA; Binalong Community Club; Yass Valley S.P.I.N Foundation (Lion’s); Beau Cosgrove and Cosgrove family; Convoy for Kids Goulburn; and Ngunnawal Elder, Serena Williams.
