The vibrant senior’s living village, Greenway Views, located in Tuggeranong, ACT, has won a coveted Urban Developer Award 2020.

The FDC project took out the Development of the Year Award: ‘Retirement, Aged Care and Seniors Living’ category.

The former Department of Social Services Building was transformed on behalf of LDK Seniors’ Living and Cromwell Property Group in collaboration with Gray Puksand and Northrop.

The 210 apartments offer a range of care levels for the residents; from serviced retirement apartments, to dementia care, all with technology built-in to provide 24-hour onsite support.

Inspiring artwork fills the walls, innovative technology is integrated, and the communal areas are designed for comfort and enjoyment. Greenway Views in Tuggeranong exemplifies a new and improved model for seniors’ living.

FDC’s Project Manager, Elise Klarenbeek said the $108 million project was an honour to deliver.

“This transformational project has delivered a tangible, positive impact on the lives of the people who call Greenway Views home. We are humbled to win this award and are enjoying sharing this collaborative success with our clients and project partners,” Elise said.

Greenway Views includes over 200 prefabricated wet areas that were manufactured off-site, delivered and installed with repeatability and precision.

Colour philosophy was a key consideration for the project, tastefully applied throughout the interior design, acting as a wayfinding tool, combined with interior furnishings, lighting and décor that help the spaces to feel distinctively different.

“Ultimately our client wanted us to deliver an environment where the residents felt that this was their home.” Gray Puksand Head of Interior Design, Brisbane, Maria Correia said.
