Pig ‘N’ Whistle, Redbank Plains is the seventh and newest addition to the Pig ‘N’ Whistle family, owned and operated by Mantle Group. Covering 1,330sqm, it is one of the largest Pig ‘N’ Whistle venues constructed. The venue includes a bar, restaurant, pokie lounge & a large outdoor dining area boasting a wood-fired rotisserie. The venue serves an array of traditional British pub dishes that Patrons can view through the open-style gallery kitchen.
FDC was awarded the construction management contract for Pig n Whistle during early design development. Our team assisted the client, architect & consultants with constructability & cost planning whilst they focused on creating the traditional atmosphere of an old English pub.
Hidden beneath the walls and above the ceilings is a highly technical installation of commercial services specifically designed to handle the requirements of this flagship site. Components such as standalone fire suppression units, Halton Capture jet hoods, phone controlled mood lighting, integrated AV solutions, 4 cool rooms with post mix and more than 20 keg taps were installed.
On the surface the intricate details developed by the architect and constructed by FDC have created the quaint, British characteristics that bring people back time and time again. From the traditionally painted VJ panelling, raw stone bench tops, mosaic tiling, polished timber floor through to the rejuvenated antique fireplace you find yourself revealing a new detail every visit.
The commitment from the FDC team and subcontractors to develop such a high end finish saw them receive great appreciation from Mantle Group in front of the opening night crowd. FDC are proud to be recipients of the MBA Brisbane region award for Best Retail Facility <$5M.
