The College of Law is the largest provider of practical legal training in Australasia, with 25,000 lawyers having completed their training at the College in NSW alone.

FDC undertook an entire building refurbishment for the College of Law at 2 Chandos Street, St Leonards, comprising 8 levels including two car park / basement levels and a roof top.

The brief was to replace the dated finishes and introduce bold colour to freshen up the building and improve the surroundings for staff and students.

The D&C project included a library on level 2, light court area on level 3 and the show courtrooms on level 4. Works included internal painting of the majority of the building; new ceiling tiles to classrooms; installation of a tea point; cosmetic repairs to the entire building to remedy concrete cancer and pebblecrete to the external facade.

FDC Technologies successfully executed the technological component of the refurbishment designing a power and data layout for all the classrooms, lecture rooms and show courtrooms, as well as relocating the comms cabinet and installing new troffers to the show courtrooms.

The works were completed within an occupied building, and during exam periods, without disrupting the other occupiers and the 9,950sqm project was successfully handed over within the 8 week program.
