FDC completed the fitout of the Woollhara Library (also known as Double Bay Library), located at Levels 1-3, 451 New South Head Road, Double Bay.

The 2,200sqm project was completed for the Woollahra Municipal Council over 23 weeks in a live building with multiple other contractors undergoing fitout works.

Works included a feature balustrade with hanging plants overflowing from the levels above, a state of the art audio visual facility that includes a large drop down projector in the open void space, Pandomo concrete flooring at the entrance and a live green wall to complement the grand entrance.

Additional project features include Woodform timber ceiling throughout with Autex backing for insulation, Bamboo timber flooring for the staircase which is further used as a seating area, an outdoor balcony / patio area with artificial turf and herb garden wall as well as a general library space with ABAX shelving, high end joiner by Maneto, and top end feature lighting installed by EDV. The project also incorporated a playful aspect into the library which includes an indoor slide that drops down to the kids area, an interactive visual display and a games room!
