FDC have completed the new state of the art Industrial Food Processing facility for Snackbrands Australia that integrates with their existing distribution facility at Orchard Hills. FDC have completed the building elements scope whilst Snackbrands Australia engaged all Specialist Equipment providers for the project.
FDC managed the BIM coordination process incorporating all building elements with Snackbrands Australia’s specialist equipment providers. This includes items such as industrial fryers, mezzanines, pipework, conveyors, oil storage containers and heat exchangers.
Technical aspects to highlight for the project includes the following:
- Inground stainless pipework with stainless fryer pans to all processing equipment
- Underside roof high-level gantry walkway designed to accommodate client specialist pipework
- Hygiene and food grade compliance with all internal details and materials
- Integration of base building design with specialist equipment providers
- Mechanical system for ventilation and spot cooling designed to suit operator requirements
