Boeing Defence Australia

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the global Boeing Company. Their specialties lie within defence and government services, integrated logistics, network and space systems, and tactical aircraft. This meant BDA required a contractor able to comply with stringent security needs.

FDC were engaged by Investa Property Group to work with this significant tenant after several unsatisfactory attempts by other builders to complete their refurbishment.

The works entailed a quality refurbishment of all amenities and bathroom areas within 12 out of the 14 floors. This consisted of staged works beginning with demolition, and a comprehensive fitout including pipe work replacement and mechanical upgrades of every amenity space within the building – all this while BDA stayed fully operational during the works.

At the handover of each stage FDC was consistently praised by the client, building owner and design team for their outstanding efforts in maintaining security protocol, minimising disturbance to BDA staff, and completing the works to the highest level under very challenging circumstances.
