FDC delivers premium seniors’ living village, Greenway Views for LDK and Cromwell Property Group.

Inspiring artwork fills the walls, innovative technology is built-in and the vibrant communal areas are designed for comfort and enjoyment. Greenway Views in Tuggeranong exemplifies a new and improved model for seniors’ living.

FDC recently completed the transformation of the former Department of Social Services Building on behalf of LDK and Cromwell Property Group.

The 210 apartments within three different purpose-built buildings offer a range of care levels for the residents; from no care, low care through to high care, including palliative and dementia care, all with in-built technology to provide 24-hour onsite support.

FDC Group Project Manager Elise Klarenbeek said the 15-month, $108 million project has been an honour to deliver.

“To facilitate the transformation of these buildings into a state-of-the-art community for Canberra’s senior’s has been really rewarding. I can see the genuine impact our work will have on the lives of the people who call Greenway Views home.”

Architects from Gray Puksand explained that the central philosophy of the project was to provide a better quality of life for senior Australians, in a vibrant, active environment that fosters a sense of purpose, wellbeing and homeliness.

The delivery of the project was fast-tracked by utilising a number of pre-fabrication components.

“Bathroom pods and balconies were pre-fabricated off-site and installed fully completed, delivering project efficiencies. The pre-fabrication of new balconies also provided an instantly safe environment for all trades onsite,” Elise Klarenbeek said.
