MacMillan Books

Part of the Pan Macmillan Group, MacMillan Books is a major Australian publisher and distributor, with a wide range of titles. It also handles all sales and distribution for Guinness World Records, and through Macmillan Publishing Services, Anness Publishing, Duffy & Snellgrove, Omnibus Press, Peter Lik’s Wilderness Press, Australian Geographic, Carlton Books, Brolga, Scribe, Limelight Press, Spinifex Press and a variety of single title agencies.

FDC were engaged to provide a Design & Construct solution for the expansion of the existing warehouse facility in Melbourne’s Parkwest.

Considerable earthworks were undertaken to provide the new building platform, including removal of some 4,000 cubic metres of existing site material.

The expansion involved a new warehouse area of 6,000sqm and external hardstand of some 1,500sqm. The building was constructed with an external dado concrete panel wall, with metal cladding over to match existing.
