Status

Double the campuses, double the opportunity for Central Queensland University’s new Schools of Mining and Manufacturing.

Following the completion of CQU Rockhampton’s School of Mining, the Gladstone campus has opened its School of Manufacturing to students and faculty.

The facility treats students to numerous features, including virtual reality technologies for specialised welding, a 3D metal printing area, specialised labs for hydrogen processing and blending, and R&D lab spaces for industry partners.

These advanced education hubs will benefit their communities greatly, allowing for the creation of over 300 local jobs, attracting new students to the region and injecting investment into the local economy.
