FDC delivered the design and construction of a purpose built distribution centre for Harris Farm at Greystanes industrial estate. Developed by Aliro as Harris Farm’s largest distribution facility in New South Wales, the project was carefully tailored to support high volume food processing, dry goods storage and end-to-end logistics operations.
The facility was designed to optimise operational efficiency, streamline vehicle movements and provide the flexibility required for a rapidly growing distribution network.
The warehouse incorporates expansive, high clearance storage areas supported by full height racking, dedicated loading docks and clearly defined internal circulation paths. Temperature controlled zones were included to support food processing, packaging and storage, along with cool room and freezer facilities.
Separate truck entry and exit points, combined with generous hardstand areas, ensure efficient and uninterrupted logistics operations. A two storey office and amenities building provides modern workspaces, staff facilities and breakout areas, integrated with landscaped outdoor spaces and on grade parking.
Advanced building systems, including automated monitoring and control, enhance operational visibility and support efficient day-to-day management across the site.
Sustainability was a key focus throughout design and construction. The facility achieved a 5 Star Greenstar Design and As Built rating through the integration of high-performance building materials, energy efficient systems and water saving initiatives, delivering long term environmental and operational benefits.
