FDC (QLD) has completed the fitout for Hermès within the new Pacific Fair Shopping Centre development.

Hermès is a French high fashion luxury goods manufacturer established in 1837 specializing in leather, lifestyle accessories, home furnishings, perfumery, jewellery, watches and ready-to-wear garments.

The project involved an extremely refined and ambitious design featuring many high end finishes. Large curved feature ceilings were constructed from fibrous plaster moulds, 4.5m high walls were finished with polished plaster and floors were laid in mosaic tiles with a custom commissioned Circular mosaic logo or “Ex Libris”. Joinery and façade components were all manufactured overseas by Hermès and imported, a process involving a high level of coordination and communication. The high level of detail called for by the French based main architect and Australian based coordinating architect was reflective of the Hermès brand and their passion for excellence. Due to the value of merchandise within the store the electronic and physical security are significant.

FDC are extremely proud to have delivered this project as a repeat client for Hermès in conjunction with Interni as the client project manager/coordinating architect, RDAI Architects (France-based) and services consultant Interior Engineering.

Project Features

  • 5m high fibrous plaster ceilings
  • Imported façade/joinery
