Sydney Airport’s multi-terminal checked baggage screening update reached compliance before the mandate of the 31st December 2025, spanning T1 International and T2 & T3 Domestic.
Working alongside SYD, Smiths Detection, BEUMER Group and Alstef Group, FDC delivered the program within live baggage areas, keeping day-to-day airport operations moving.
The upgrade introduces Standard 3 CT-based screening technology, aligning with global best practice to deliver higher threat detection, fewer false alarms and faster baggage flow, strengthening security while improving operational efficiency.
Another complex, live-environment project delivered safely, seamlessly and ahead of schedule.
