NEXTDC are redefining Data-Centre-as-a-Service (DCaaS) and are the only ASX300 listed and the only Australia-wide DCaaS provider.

As cloud computing and technology continues to advance, NEXTDC is at the forefront – providing their customers and partners across Australia with the latest in data centre services and design.

M1 has achieved the Uptime Institute’s industry-benchmark Tier III certification for design – an endorsement that the facility will support extremely high levels of service availability.

M1 has a minimum of N+1 redundancy on all critical systems to provide 100% availability on services – a guarantee virtually unrivalled in the Australian data centre industry.

The M1 Melbourne data centre is the first facility in Asia-Pacific to employ solar power as a renewable energy source. The photovoltaic solar system is the largest privately funded rooftop solar array in Australia.

It’s capable of generating approximately 550 megawatt-hours of electricity annually, offsetting around 670 tonnes of CO2 each year – equivalent to the carbon emitted by 200 cars.

The project was delivered in conjunction with Greenbox Architecture.

FDC has delivered several data centres for NEXTDC including S1 in Sydney and C1 in Canberra.
